“Esca” is Latin for “lure” and refers to the “lure” on an anglerfish’s head. Esca MTS, LLC was established to accommodate the demand for my skills outside of the UNOLS tech pool. I’m available for offshore, inshore, or on-shore work.

I have an MBA, a master’s degree in Oceanography, and a 100-ton license from the USCG. I have worked aboard a number of ships including many from the UNOLS fleet. My roles on have included Marine Tech, SSSG, Res-tech, Mooring tech, ETO/TEO, Captain/Operator, Field Ops coordinator, and “SuperTech”, amongst others. I am a member of the UNOLS RVTEC sub-committee on tech training, RVTEC DEI Working Group, as well as the CTD and Flow through systems best practices groups.
